Description
QU20052 2005-2019 Ford Super Duty Outer Axle Shaft to Steering Knuckle Seal is a nearly 5-1/2" diameter, genuine original equipment Seal that gets pressed on your outer axle shaft with TS1530 (F250, F350), or TS1531 (F450, F550) Seal Installer Tool which is also used to seat the axle shaft and seal assembly to the correct depth in the steering knuckle. Seals grease in and water out of the steering knuckle. Also acts as a Vacuum Seal for trucks with electric shift transfer cases and vacuum controlled auto Hub-Locks. Made in Mexico.

Tech Note 1: To Function Correctly
The inside section of QU20052 Original Equipment Knuckle Seal rotates within the outer shell. To correctly function, the Seal must be:
A) Fully seated on the outer axle shaft.
B) Installed as part of the axle shaft assembly to the correct depth in the steering knuckle to prevent premature wear on the internal seal surfaces. A seal installed to the wrong depth will quickly fail.
C) Installed without damaging any of the internal seal components
To accomplish all of the above, the correct installation of QU20052 REQUIRES the use of TS1530 (F250, F350), or TS1531 (F450, F550) Seal Installer or similar Ford tooling. If you want a long lasting installation, Makeshift methods Do Not Make the Grade!
