Tech Note 1: Benefits:
Using a Bearing Cup Installer not only saves time, but, more importantly, also allows you to install the bearing cup without damaging either the cup or bearing bore. Bearing Cup Installers are the key to damage free bearing cup installation. With one, you can completely seat those bearing cups without nicks or dings. Using the proper Cup Installer and Handle completely eliminates one of the most common causes of premature bearing failure, namely installation with punches or other makeshift tools.
Tech Note 2: Optional Handles:
I recommend an 8" handle (QT1100, QT1116) for most applications and a 14" handle (QT1101, QT1119) for deep set rear hub bearing cups.
Tech Note 3: Custom Fit:
QT1807 Bearing Cup Installer is made to install these Timken Taper Bearing Cup numbers: 3920, 39520.
