Description

QT1504 Dana 30, Dana 44 and GM 10 Bolt Front Wheel Seal Installer is specifically made to install QU50091 and QU50654 inner wheel grease seals to the correct depth without damaging the seal. Applications include many 1960 to early 1990s Chevy, Dodge, Ford, GMC, IHC, and Jeep 4x4s up to 3/4 ton class. A relief groove in the installer allows adequate clearance for the outer seal lip on QU50091, thereby preventing one of the most common causes of premature seal failure. Aluminum Installer is Made in U.S.A. by us here in Roberts, Montana.

Tech Note 1: Lubricate
After the seal is installed, lubricate the seal lip with clean wheel bearing grease.

Tech Note 2: Driver Handles
QT1504 has a 5/8" center hole for attaching Installer to QT1100, QT1101, QT1116, or QT1119 Driver Handles.

Tech Note 3: Redesign
QT1504 was redesigned in June of 2013 to replace QT1507 and the previous version of QT1504. QT1504 can now be used to install both QU50654 single lip inner wheel grease seal without a garter spring and QU50091 double lip inner wheel grease with a garter spring. QU50654 was used in 1960 to early 1970's hubs with shallow depth seal bores. QU50091 is used in disc brake hubs with deep seal bores. Although the two seals share the same ID and OD they are not interchangeable due to performance and depth differences.
