TS1245 10 Piece Ball Joint Press and Adapter Set for 2005-current Ford F450, F550 2005-2009 Chevy Kodiak and GMC Top Kick C4500, C5500 4x4 Trucks to replace factory and most aftermarket Ball Joints. The Dana Super 60 (Ford) or Super 70 (GM) front axles on these Heavy-Duty trucks have big ball joints that are tightly pressed into the steering knuckles. Our TS1245 Ball Joint Tool Set is the safest and most efficient way to replace the Ball Joints on your Ford heavy-duty F-450 or F550 4x4 truck or Chevy/GMC C4500, C5500 4x4 truck. The nine, precision made, USA made press adapters are CNC machined from solid, domestic, high strength steel specifically to service the Ball Joints on your truck. Adapters are machined to fit the dimensions of all stock, original equipment Ball Joints and any aftermarket Ball Joints made to the same approximate external dimensions as original ball joints. Tech Note 3: C-Frame Press Specs
QT1065M C-Frame Press Specifications: 8-3/4" Throat, 7/16" Rotating Tip, 1-1/8" Screw Thread, 2-1/8" Tool Hole, (Replaceable Rotating Tips are supported by a hardened ball.)

Tech Note 4: F450
F450 4x4 trucks were made in both Pickup (Wide Frame) and Chassis Cab (Narrow or 34" Frame) models. 2008-2010 F450 Pickups use the same Ball Joints and TS1243 Tool Set as F450, F550 Chassis Cab models. 2011-2016 F450 pickups use the same Ball Joints and TS4511 Tool Set as 2005-2016 F250, F350 4x4s.

Tech Note 5: Before Removing
Before removing your old ball joints, you MUST clean out dirt and crud from the area between the ball joint and edge of the steering knuckle counterbore before placing the Ball Joint Receiver in position. The Receiver must be able to seat against the steering knuckle. Failure to remove any packed in material will result in major tool damage!
