QT1240 Lower Ball Joint Installer, 2005-Current Ford F450, F550, and 2005-2009 Chevy or GMC C4500, C5500 is 1-piece, CNC machined, Lower Ball Joint Installation Tool made from a USA produced, high strength, solid steel billet, specifically for 2005-current Ford F450, F550 chassis cab trucks, 2008-2010 F450 Super Duty pickups with Dana Super 60 Front Axles, and 2005-2009 Chevy or GMC C4500, C5500 Dana Super 70 4x4 Front Axles. QT1240 is machined to fit original equipment and most aftermarket Lower Ball Joints for Dana 60 (Ford 4x2), Dana Super 60 (Ford 4x4), Dana Super 70 (Chevy, GMC) axles. QT1240 will not damage your new Lower Ball Joint stud or non-removable seals as the new Lower Ball Joint is being pressed into the steering knuckle. Use with QT1065M Heavy-Duty C-Frame Press and QT1238 Lower Ball Joint Receiver to safely and quickly press in your new Lower Ball Joints into the steering knuckles. (See Tech Note 1 below for Tool Sets that include QT1240.) Securely attaches to 2-1/8" tool hole on QT1065M C-Frame Press. Black Oxide finish. Made by us here in Montana.

Tech Note 4: F450
F450 trucks were made in both Pickup (Wide Frame) and Chassis Cab (Narrow or 34" Frame) models. 2008-2010 F450 Pickups use the same Ball Joints and TS1243 Tool Set as F450, F550 Chassis Cab models. 2011-current F450 pickups use the same Ball Joints and TS4511 Tool Set as 2005-2016 F250, F350.

Tech Note 5: Clean Before Installing
Before installing your new ball joints, clean the knuckle hub bore and ball joint seats. For Ford, See VSG1243 Video or IM1243 Instruction Manual.

Tech Note 6: Press Specs
Matching QT1065M C-Frame Press Specifications: 8-3/4" Throat, 7/16" Rotating Tip, 1-1/8" Screw Thread, 2-1/8" Tool Hole. (Replaceable Rotating Tips are supported by a hardened ball.)
