TS1195 Front Inner Axle Shaft Seal Press Screw Assembly

TS1195 Front Inner Axle Shaft Seal Press Screw Assembly for 2003 to 2018 Dodge/RAM AAM 925 14 Bolt Front Axles Use with QT1143 Seal Installer and QT1193 Thrust Plate to quickly and easily press the Inner Axle Shaft oil seals in your Ram 2500, Ram 3500, or Mega Cab Ram 1500 4x4 front axle. Rod is CNC machined from a billet of solid high strength U.S. produced steel. Has wrench flats for 7/8" end wrench to hold rod steady as you tighten the hardened forcing nut against the seal installer for your application. TS1195 Assembly includes QT1194 Press Screw, QT1170 Hardened Forcing Nut, QU95006 Grade 8 Nut, 2 QU95051 Grade 8 Flat Washers, and QT9905 Retaining Clip. Use in conjunction with QT1143 Seal Installer and QT1193 Thrust Plate. Made in U.S.A. by QUAD 4x4 here in Montana.

Tech Note 2: Must Remove
To replace your Inner Axle Shaft Oil Seals, you have to remove the brakes, hubs, axle shafts, and differential. See TSB4597 for detailed, color illustrated, easy to read service procedures for removing and installing your AAM925 Front Axle Inner Axle Shafts.

Tech Note 3: Seal type
QU10945 is an oil bath type seal. The actual seal surface is internal, meaning the inner sleeve of the seal rotates within the outer body. With this design, the outside diameter of the seal shell is a press fit in the axle housing. The inside diameter of the rotating sleeve is an interference fit on the axle shaft. If you had to use a pry bar to get your axle shafts out, it was due to the tight fit between the axle shaft and seal.

Tech Note 4: After Installing
After installing your new seals, lubricate the inside of the rotating sleeve with a thin film of grease or petroleum jelly. Doing so will ease axle shaft installation and minimize corrosion on that axle shaft seal surface.
