Tech Note 1: About
Dodge used both Budd and Motor Wheel hub and drum assemblies. While the assemblies are interchangeable, the hub and drum parts can't be mixed. TKA11749 Hub assembly and studs are only compatible with Motor Wheel type drums. We strongly recommend you also purchase QU80123 Motor Wheel compatible drum.
Tech Note 2: Stud Notes
For the 1969-1972 model years, Dodge used left-hand thread studs for the left front W200 hub assembly and right-hand thread studs for the right hub assembly. We no longer have a supplier for left hand thread studs for this application so our new TKA11749 hubs are shipped with right hand thread studs for use on either side the same as Dodge supplied for the 1973 and 1974 model years. Matching 1/2" Right Hand Thread Wheel Nut is QU70112
Tech Note 3: Fitment
The wheel studs are a press fit into both the hub and drum. Older model trucks like 1969-1974 Dodge W200 4x4s did not have slip on drums, instead, the hub, drum, and studs are a single assembly.
Tech Note 4: New Lockwasher
Always replace the Spindle Nut Lockwasher with a new QU10576 Washer. The tabs on these washers are intended for single use, if reused, there is a good chance they will break off which could allow the spindle nuts to come off. The end result will be an expensive repair bill and possibly a fatal accident.
