QT1168 Medium Semi-Float Rear Axle Bearing Puller for 1983-up Ford 8.8", 1974-2007 Dodge 9-1/4" Standard Duty, and 1964-up GM 1/2 ton Semi-Float Rear Axles in trucks and vans. QT1168 makes pulling your wheel bearings a straight-forward job. Fits any 5/8" fine thread Slide Hammer (The bigger the better!). Made in Taiwan.

Tech Note 1: Works On
QT1168 works on 2.53" outside diameter semi-float roller bearings in 1/2 ton and light-duty 3/4 ton truck or van semi-float rear axles. Due to different axle tube inside diameters, you may need to use a grinder to reduce the puller plate diameter.

Tech Note 2: To Use
To use QT1168, loosen the nut and slide back the washer so the tip can swivel against the threaded stem as you slide it through the bearing. Pull the tool back until the plate seats against the inside of the bearing. Tighten the nut so the washer contacts the rollers. Attach your slide hammer and have at it!

Tech Note 3: Bearings
Semi-float wheel bearings are usually a very tight fit in the axle housing. You want a 5 pound or larger Slide Hammer (I use 10 pound). The rollers still have to be in the bearing for the puller to work.
