QU11142 NP241DLD Transfer Case Front Case Half 1994-2002 Ram 2500

QU11142 1994-2002 Wide Input Bearing Dodge New Process NP241DLD Transfer Case Front Case Half is specific to 1999.5-2002 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 trucks with New Process NP241DLD, manual shift, part-time transfer cases but it will work on most 1994-2002 NP241DLD transfer cases with input bearing and/or output seal changes. QU11142 is a genuine New Process replacement sub-assembly that includes QU50873 wide input bearing, QU50207 front output bearing, QU10801 front output seal, and the planetary annulus ring.

Tech Note 1: Specific To
QU11142 can fit multiple applications, but it is specific to 1999.5 to 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 trucks with NP241DLD Transfer Cases with the following assembly numbers: 52105023AB, 52105023AC, 52105024AB, 52105024AC, 52105024AD, 52105025AB, 52105025AC, and 52105025AD.

Tech Note 2: Before Assembly
These new front case halves are bulk shipped from the factory without individual packaging, so airborne contaminants can get into the bearings. I suggest you clean the bearings and mating surfaces immediately prior to assembly.

Tech Note 3: Currently Available
New Process used at least 6 different front case half sub assembly part numbers for Dodge NP241DLD transfer cases. Of those 6 numbers, QU11142 (1999.5-2002) is the only NP241DLD front case half currently available to us through New Process. Despite the part number variations, this Front Case Half will work on most 1994-2002 NP241DLD transfer cases with input bearing and/or output seal changes. Please see the section below for fitment information for your transfer case.

Tech Note 4: 1994-1996 Assembly Numbers 52098530, 52099035, 52099041
These 3 cases have a slightly different planetary tooth cut. QU50343 front case specific to these assemblies is no longer available new.

Tech Note 5: All Other 1994-1997 Assembly numbers
QU11142 will work on 1994-1997 NP241DLD Transfer Cases with wide input bearings and standard cut planetary teeth if you replace the Front Output Seal with QU40366. To use with a narrow bearing Input, replace QU50873 wide bearing that comes with the case half with QU50874 Narrow Bearing AND replace the Front Output Seal with QU40366.

Tech Note 6: 1998-2002 Transfer Cases
QU11142 is the exact replacement part for all 1999.5-2002 NP241DLD Transfer Cases with wide input bearings (these units will all have an AB, AC, or AD suffix after the 8 digit numeric assembly number).
On 1998, 1999 assemblies without an AB, AC, or AD suffix after the 8 digit numeric assembly number, replace QU50873 Wide Input Bearing that comes with the case half with QU50874 Narrow Input Bearing.
(example: Assembly 52105024, Replace Bearing. Assembly 52108024AB, Bearing does not need to be changed.)
