Description
QU11116 1972-1993 and 2000-2018 Dodge Rear Axle Brake Block Bolt/Axle Vent Fitting Is a genuine original equipment hollow bolt with factory applied thread sealant that is used to attach the rear brake junction block to the axle housing and it acts as the axle vent outlet to which you attach the axle vent hose to most 1972-1993 and 2000 to 2018 Dodge or Ram 3/4 and 1 ton trucks and 1 ton vans with Dana 60, Dana 70, Dana 80, AAM 1050, AAM 1150 rear axle. QU11116 also fits 2000-2001 Ram 1500 9-1/4" Rear Axles.
QU11116 Will ALSO fit 1994-1999 Ram 2500, Ram 3500 Dana rear axles that originally used a small diameter vent hose if you replace the hose and capped vent end fitting. See Parts List in in Tech Note 4.

Tech Note 1: Seal Leakage
Many wheel seal leaks are caused by pressure building in the axle due to a clogged axle vent system. Always check and clear the vent system including the Vent Fitting, Hose, and Vent Cap. Other common causes of leaking seals include improper wheel bearing adjustment, poor installation techniques and worn spindle surface.
Tech Note 2: Corrosion
To prevent corrosion where the Bolt fits through the brake block, apply Anti-Seize Compound to the unthreaded area above the threads of QU11116 Brake Bolt.
Tech Note 3: Torque Spec and Clamp
Torque QU11116 Brake Block Bolt to 125 Lb-In (10.4 Lb-Ft or 14 Nm). The Bolt is hollow and will break if it is over-torqued which will void the part warranty. We recommend you use a crimp-type clamp like QU50048 on your vent hose for maximum sealing.

Parts came fast and they have everything I needed

Bolt axle vent tube
Arrived quickly, Well packaged. I wasn't aware I needed this item. But noticed I didn't have one while redoing the rear brake lines. This was the only place I found that had it available. Worked perfectly and will use these guys again in the future.
