QU11102 Grade 5 Front Driveshaft, Transfer Case Shifter or Transmission Mount Bolt with attached washer are stock original equipment parts used on 1994-2005 Dodge Ram full size trucks to attach the steel transmission mount support plate to the bottom of NV4500 5 speed (2 Bolts) and NV5600 6 speed (4 Bolts) tailshaft housings. QU11102 Bolt is also used to attach the transfer case shifter to 1994-1997 Dodge NV4500 5 speed manual transmissions. Additionally, QU11102 is the current production front CV driveshaft to transfer case output flange replacement bolt for 1975.5-2017 Dodge Ram and 1977-1991 GM full-size 4x4s. Threads are treated with a factory applied Threadlocking Compound. USA Made. Sold Individually.

Tech Note 1: Benefits
These application specific bolts differ from common 7/16" Grade 5 bolts by having a taller head and permanently attached concave washer which functions as both a flat washer and lock washer. While it may seem like these features are not worth the substantially higher cost compared to standard bolts, from my perspective as a long-term wrench turner, they are. First of all, you have to realize access to these bolts is quite restricted for many applications. The higher head makes it a whole lot easier to keep your 5/8" wrench or socket engaged on the fastener and believe me, mashing your knuckles when your wrench slips off is not much fun. The attached washer eliminates having to fumble around with separate lock washers and flat washers in the restricted areas around the CV output flange and transfer case shifter.
Tech Note 2: Sealants & Threadlockers
Early production NV4500 Transmissions used an anaerobic sealant (QU90003) to seal between the main case and input bearing retainer, top cover, and rear housing. Mid-production units used anaerobic sealant just on the input retainer and RTV for everything else. Later production transmissions used black RTV Sealant (QU90006 or QU90005) for everything. Either type of sealant works fine (except the PTO covers ALWAYS should be sealed with RTV), but I prefer RTV for all components. Regardless of which sealant you use, make sure excess sealant does not block the lube access hole at the top of input retainer pilot that fits into the transmission case! Also, the threaded holes in the main case for the four retainer bolts and 12 PTO bolts are open ended, so you must use new bolts with factory applied threadlocker or apply Threadlocker (S24200) to your existing bolts to prevent oil seepage past the bolt threads.
