QU10971 New Process Transfer Case Mounting Stud for Dodge Ram

QU10971 New Process NP231, NP241 Transfer Case Mounting Stud for 1990-2002 Dodge Ram threads into the front of New Process NP231DHD, NP241D, NP241DLD, and NP241DHD Transfer Cases. For the 1990-1993 NP241D Transfer Case used in W150, W250 4x4s, QU10971 fits case assembly numbers 52097710 and 53008205. QU10971 also fits all 1994-2002 Dodge Ram 2500, 3500 (NP241DLD, NP241DHD) plus 1994-2001 Ram 1500 (NP231DHD) 4x4s. These coarse thread/fine thread studs are used to secure the Transfer Case assembly to the transmission. Genuine New Process Stud has anti-corrosion coating to help minimize galvanic corrosion. Threadlocker pre-applied to the 3/8"coarse threads for the adapter. Sold individually, order 6 to replace all the studs on full size 4x4 transfer cases.

Tech Note 1: Install Depth 
Install Stud so 1 or 2 threads will be visible above the face of the case. Do NOT install Stud too deep by screwing it in until the shoulder jams against the threads! Tip: If you do not have a 3/8" fine thread nut installer, use two QU95013 Grade 8 x 3/8" SAE hex nuts and jam them together.
