QK1095 NV4500 Late Reverse Fork Shift Pad Kit fits 1998-up Dodge and GM 1997-up New Venture NV4500 transmissions. Kit includes 1 Center Pad and 2 Curved Tip Pads. Included in year specific QK1010 Small Parts Kit (NOTE: Most 1995-1996 GM models have aluminum shift forks that do not use pads, Also many aftermarket forks are not made for use with pads.)

Tech Note 1: Early vs. Late Pads
New Venture used three types of Reverse Shift Forks. Early production models (1992-1994 GM and 1992-1997 Dodge) were built with cast iron shift forks using replaceable wear pads. The tips of the fork are straight. For the 1995-1996 model years GM transmissions had aluminum reverse shift forks that do not use shift fork pads. 1997-2007 GM and 1998-2005 Dodge transmissions have cast iron reverse forks with curved tips and replaceable pads. Due to rebuilders interchanging covers and the fact that most aftermarket replacement forks do not use shift fork pads, you should verify your reverse shift fork type before ordering pads.
How to identify early and late NV4500 reverse shift fork pads:
Center Pad:
Late Maximum Length: 2.05" (Universal fit, Will also fit early forks)
Early Maximum Length: 2.21" (Do not use on late forks)
End Pad:
Late is closed on lower end and slightly curved to fit fork contour
Early is open on ends & rectangular in shape. The early and late Tip Pads are NOT interchangeable! In 2005, the early black end pads were replaced by white nylon pads.

Tech Note 3: Lubricants, Sealants, Threadlockers
Early production NV4500 Transmissions used an anaerobic sealant (QU90003) to seal between the main case and input bearing retainer, top cover, and rear housing. Mid-production units used anaerobic sealant just on the input retainer and RTV for everything else. Later production transmissions used black RTV Sealant (QU90006 or QU90005) for everything. Either type of sealant works fine (except the PTO covers ALWAYS should be sealed with RTV), but I prefer RTV for all components. Regardless of which sealant you use, make sure excess sealant does not block the lube access hole at the top of input retainer pilot that fits into the transmission case! Also, the threaded holes in the main case for the four retainer bolts and 12 PTO bolts are open ended, so you must use new bolts with factory applied threadlocker or apply Threadlocker (S24200) to your existing bolts to prevent oil seepage past the bolt threads.
