Applications
Tech Note 1: Product Note
This puller is designed for use on 4x4 vehicles with splined, live spindle unitized front hubs. If you truck has lockout hubs, chances are this puller will not work.
Tech Note 2: Safety Note
Always wear eye protection! Using any Puller can be dangerous to the user, bystanders, and the components being pulled. When trying to pull a unitized front hub extreme care must be taken during the pulling operation to prevent bearing separation if the hub assembly is going to be reused. If the bearing starts to separate, you will need a new hub assembly to prevent a potential bearing failure while you are driving. BE ADVISED that if your truck has seen road salt, corrosive soils, sea air or is just getting old, chances are YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PULL THE HUB WITHOUT WRECKING IT! This is especially true on Dodge full size trucks with solid beam axles, and almost universally true on 2000 and newer Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 4x4's. If you own one of these Dodge trucks you may hear or see people using the power steering to force the hubs out. This is insanely dangerous as the frame and steering parts are overstressed, which may cause a deadly failure while you are driving. DON'T DO IT!!!
