QT1069 4x4 Ball Joint Adapter for Dodge and Ford Dana 50/60 Axles

QT1069 4x4 Ball Joint Adapter is used with our long-throat C-Frame presses when installing or removing Ball Joints on many popular Dana 50 and Dana 60 4x4 front axles in 1994-2002 Dodge or 1980 and newer Ford trucks. Tech Note 1: Product Note
7/16" Hole in Cap is made to fit standard press screw tip AND machined to seat in the 2-1/8" adapter hole on our long-throat QT1065M C-frame Presses.

Tech Note 2: Receiving
For 2000-2002 Dodge Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 Dana 60 front axles, QT1069 attaches to the press screw. It will fit around the upper ball joint flange and act as the Receiver as you press the upper ball joint out of the axle.

Tech Note 3: Installing
On Ford Excursion, 1980-up Ford F250, F350 Dana 50 or 60, 1999-2004 Ford F450 or F550 Dana 60, and 1994-1999 Dodge Dana 60 front axles, QT1069 is used to but upward pressure on the lower ball joint stud so you can tighten the locking type lower ball joint nut. For these axles, QT1069 attaches to the press screw, and it fits against the bottom of the steering knuckle around the lower ball joint snap ring. The 2-1/8" diameter open end of the press frame is placed around the lower ball joint stud. When you tighten the press screw, the steering knuckle stud is forced upward against it's tapered seat which should keep the stud from rotating when you initially tighten the lower ball joint nut.

2500 V8 gas w/8,800 GVWR or higher rating: 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999
All Diesel and V10 2500 and 3500 trucks: 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999

Ford (when installing lower nut):
