Description
QT1041 Inner Front Axle Shaft Oil Seal Installer for Dana 44 Front Axles installs the QU40055 current design original equipment CR made seal in many older 4x4 trucks with Dana-Spicer Model 44 axles. Our QT1041 has a depth stop making it easy to install these seals to the correct depth every time. Our custom, CNC Precision Machined, solid steel Seal Installer support these difficult to install seals in 3 locations so the seal cannot cock or get crushed during installation. (Also see QT1165). Included in QK4871 Kit and TS4871 Tool Set. Made in U.S.A. by Us Here in Montana.
*Important Note: Our custom Tool is made specifically for the QU40055 current design original equipment CR made seal. It most likely will NOT fit other make seals! We make our Tool EXACT so it will fit the seal and install super easy & perfectly in the axle housing. We like a professional installation in super quick time with no 'do overs'.

Applications
Tech Note 1: Prep:
Your brakes, wheel hubs, axle shafts, and differential must be removed from the housing to replace the axle shaft seals.
Tech Note 2: Benefit of Custom Tool:
Installing Dana 44 Inner Axle Shaft Oil Seals without damaging the seal, your axle housing, or your fingers can be difficult UNLESS you have the correct tools for the job. Combine this seal installer with our QT1189 Press Screw Assembly and QT1161 Thrust Plate, and you will quickly and easily install those pesky oil seals without mashing your fingers or cussing a blue streak! Plus the Seal will be installed right the first time, with no warranty comebacks!!
Tech Note 3: Fixed Depth Installer:
We make two types of Seal Installers: Adjustable Depth and Fixed Depth. The QT1041 Installer on this page is a Fixed Depth Installer that will firmly stop at a preset depth (no measuring involved). Choose this Fixed Depth Installer if you want quick, fool-proof seal installation. Choose our QT1165 Adjustable Depth Seal Installer if you want the flexibility to offset the seals to miss grooves worn in your axle shafts.
Tech Note 4: Matching Parts:
