On Dana 60 rear axles, Ford used the same inner and outer wheel bearings on 1973-1979 F-250 trucks and 1979-1979 E200/E250 Vans with full floating Dana 60 rear axles. F350 and Single Rear Wheel E350 Vans have the same outer wheel bearings as the F-250, but larger inner wheel bearings and seals. All F-250 3/4 ton trucks and many E200/E250 vans had Dana 60 full float rear axles. E/F350 series vehicles were built with both Dana 60 and Dana 70 rear axles, but the 1 ton SRW wheel bearings are the same for either axle.
The rear wheel bearings in 1977.5-1979 Ford Dana 60 Rear axles average about 125,000 to 150,000 miles before requiring replacement.
