Description

Ford uses Dana Super 60 Front Driving Axles in 2005 and newer F250, F350, F450, and F550 Super Duty 4x4 trucks. Each axle is built with a Bill of Material (BOM) Tag affixed to the differential cover by two cover bolts. These axles  will also have a white data decal on the right axle beam that shows the BOM number, Ford axle code, and the date axle was built.

The Dana BOM number is a seven digit number starting with the number 2. The seven digit number is followed by a 1 or 2 digit dash number that indicates ratio, differential, and equipment options. The BOM number is what we use to positively identify your axles build configuration.

Ford Super Duty Dana 60 front axles will have the following characteristics:
Coil Spring, 3 Link Front Suspension with two long radius arms behind axle and a tracking bar between axle and frame
Differential is offset to left side (Drivers side for U.S. and Canada)
10 Bolt Differential Cover

Distance between Centers of Axle Spreader Holes is 14-1/8"
Ball Joints Attach Steering Knuckles to Axle
Unitized Wheel Hubs
Manual or Auto Hublocks
Factory Hublock Cap retained by 3 Screws
