Tech Note 1: Tightening the Pressure Plate Bolts
As you tighten down the pressure plate bolts, check the alignment tool to ensure it will slide freely in the pilot bearing. Just pull back on the tool 1/4" or so and then push it back in. If the tool gets tight or jams, it is an indication that the disc is a little off center. A disc that is not centered will make transmission installation a whole lot harder!
