QK1010 Master NV4500 5 Speed Manual Transmission Small Parts Kit with Shims Get all those critically important small parts with our QK1010 Small Parts Kit for all 1992-2007 New Venture NV4500 5 speed transmissions. These are the only comprehensive small parts kits on the market with a complete set of mainshaft and countershaft shims and the only Kits with almost all OE Spec and genuine NVG parts! QK1010 Kit includes: reverse clutch retaining ring, 3rd thrust washer gear retaining ring, four 1-2 synchro lock rings, fifth gear clutch retaining rings (early & late), 3rd gear thrust washer, reverse gear thrust washer, 5th gear thrust washer, 13 struts and 13 springs for all the synchronizers, fifth gear shift shaft roll pins, 2 Teflon bearing spacers, 2 reverse idler thrust washers, 2 thrust washer anti-rotation pins, and 2 countershaft gear drive keys. QK1010 Master Kit also includes QU10009 complete mainshaft shim set, & QU10008 complete countershaft shim set. Kit does not include shift fork pads. Almost all components USA made but QK1010 does contain some imported parts.

Tech Note 1: 1992-1994 Shift Inhibitor 
The 1-2 shift inhibitor springs and weights are not included with this Kit due to a very limited supply of these parts. While supplies last, you can purchase these parts separately as needed:

Tech Note 2: 1992-2007 GM 4x2 C-Truck Rear Bearing Snap Ring
Two wheel drive Chevy and GMC C1500, C2500, C3500, and C3500HD trucks with NV4500 transmissions use a Snap Ring to retain the rear output needle bearing in the transmission tailshaft housing. We do not include these with the Small Parts Kit as supplies are limited, but you can order these QU10319 Snap Rings as needed.

Tech Note 3: 1994-1997 Dodge NV4500HD 4x2 Speedo Snap Ring
1994-1997 Dodge two wheel drive trucks with Diesel or V10 engines use a Snap ring to secure the plastic speedometer drive gear to the output shaft.We do not include these with the Small Parts Kit as supplies are limited, but you can order these QU10330 Snap Rings as needed.

Tech Note 4: Reverse Shift Fork Pads
New Venture used 2 Reverse Shift Fork Pad configurations, plus Most 1995-1996 GM models have aluminum shift forks that do not use pads, (Also many aftermarket forks do not use with pads). 
For Original Equipment Forks order:
QK1094 Early Reverse Shift Fork Pad Kit fits 1992-97 Dodge and 1992-98 GM. Fork tips are straight
QK1095 Late Pad Kit fits 1998-up Dodge and GM 1999-up. Fork Tips are curved

Tech Note 5: Included and Optional parts for Main Case Small Parts Kits

Tech Note 6: Lubricants, Sealants, Threadlockers
Early production NV4500 Transmissions used an anaerobic sealant (QU90003) to seal between the main case and input bearing retainer, top cover, and rear housing. Mid-production units used anaerobic sealant just on the input retainer and RTV for everything else. Later production transmissions used black RTV Sealant (QU90006 or QU90005) for everything. Either type of sealant works fine (except the PTO covers ALWAYS should be sealed with RTV), but I prefer RTV for all components. Regardless of which sealant you use, make sure excess sealant does not block the lube access hole at the top of input retainer pilot that fits into the transmission case. Also, the threaded holes in the main case for the four retainer bolts and 12 PTO bolts are open ended, so you must use new bolts with factory applied threadlocker or apply Threadlocker (S24200) to your existing bolts to prevent oil seepage past the bolt threads.
