Tech Note 1: Install with Proper Tools
More wheel seals are wrecked from poor installation procedures than from any other cause. Use QT1509 Seal Installer with a QT1100 series driver handle to seat the seal square in the hub bore, without damage. After the seal is installed, lubricate the seal lips with clean wheel bearing grease.

Tech Note 2: Wheel Seal Leaks
Many wheel seal leaks are caused by pressure building in axle due to a clogged axle vent system. Always check and clear the vent system. Other common causes of leaking seals include improper wheel bearing adjustment.

The AAM 14 Bolt, 10-1/2" Ring Gear full floater rear axle is what used to be called the as the Chevy or GM corporate 14 Bolt, 10-1/2" Ring Gear full float rear axle.
