QU40729 U-Joint Strap and Bolt Kit for Dodge Detroit Universal 7260 Series Universal Joints This Strap and Bolt Kit is used to secure Dodge (Detroit Universal) 7260 series universal joints with 1.078" diameter cups to Dodge type transfer case and axle end yokes with an inside yoke width of 2-1/8". 1/4" hardened Grade 8 Flange Head fine thread Bolts have 3/8" hex heads. Use one Kit per yoke. USA Made.

Tech Note 1: Threadlocker
Apply S24200 or S9978 Blue Threadlocker to threads. Torque these bolts to specification listed in your factory Shop Manual or my TM3000 Driveshaft and Universal Joint Manual or TSB3510 Driveshaft Tech: Vibration, Balance, Angles, Runout and Torque Specifications.

Tech Note 2: 7290 Series
This Kit will NOT work on 7290 series yokes (2-5/8" span between yoke ears), see QU40763.
