QU40025 Axle Shaft to Spindle Bushing for Most Dana Closed Knuckles

QU40025 Medium Spindle and Axle Shaft Bushing for Dana Spicer Closed Knuckle Axles is a Torque King® flanged Bronze Bushing that is primarily found in the spindle of Dana Spicer closed knuckle front axles. You may also see them pressed in the end of 1960's Dana 44HD axle housing tubes to support the inner axle shafts. QU40025 was used by Chevy, Dodge, Ford, GM, International, and Studebaker to support the outer axle shaft in all Dana Spicer Model 44 and Model 44HD closed knuckle front axles. 1974-1975 Ford F-250 Crew Cab 4x4 trucks use a Dana 60 front axle which also has QU40025 Spindle Bushings. Order 2 or 4 Bushings per vehicle depending upon axle configuration. Made in USA.

Tech Note 1: Replacing
Both the inside diameter and thrust face of the Bushings are subject to wear. Replace any installed bushing that is a loose fit to the axle shaft, that has visible wear, or is not a press-fit in the spindle. Worn out Bushings will cause the axle shaft to hit the King Pins.

Tech Note 2: Pre-Lube
Pre-Lube the inside of the bushing with some clean grease before installing the spindle to provide initial lubrication.

QU40025 has a nominal inside diameter of 1-3/8".
