This is the correct Kit to service one 1995-1997 Ford Dana 50/Dana 60 factory hub lock with an outer cap held on by 3 screws. Fits both F-250 Dana 50IFS and F-350 Dana 60 auto hubs. Tech Note 2: Manual Hub Set Available
The factory auto hub locks on 1995-1997 Ford F250 and F350 4x4s can be easily replaced with less expensive and more durable QU56011 Manual Hub Set. You also need to replace your original single spindle nuts and their break-prone locks with a pair of QK4729 Double Spindle Nut Sets and discard the original 3 piece axle shaft thrust washers along with the original snap rings. The new hubs include snap rings for the outer axle shaft grooves plus hub body to wheel hub lock rings
Tech Note 3: Installation For Auto Hub Locks
Wheel Bearing Spindle Nut and Lock Installation for 1995-1997 Ford F250, F350 Auto Hub Locks:
A. Install Nut on Spindle (Both left and right nuts are right hand thread to install, turn clockwise).
B. Use torque wrench and QT1058 socket to Torque QU20200 Nut to 50 lb.-ft. while rotating the wheel hub.
C. Back nut off 1/4 turn and retorque to 25 lb. in. (Note this setting is in INCH pounds!).
D. Locate slot in spindle nut closest to spindle key slot.
E. ADVANCE nut clockwise so the next slot in nut is aligned with left side of spindle key slot.
F. Install QU20201 Key into the nut slot and spindle key way. QU20201 Key MUST be be pushed in until the curved portion of the key is seated in the counter bore machined in the face of QU20200 Nut
