When servicing your hub locks, use a THIN film of water proof grease like Pyroplex Plus on the moving metal parts. Do not pack the moving lockout parts with grease as this can cause engagement issues especially during cold weather. I like to liberally coat the fixed hub and axle shaft splines with grease for corrosion protection, but I only use a thin film of grease on the moving metal parts.
