If it is not, the bearing rollers contained inside the CV Ball of your new centering kit will either fall out or break apart in short order. Besides having your 4x4 broke down again, this type of failure is something we can NOT replace under warranty. Cold-forged crosses are harder and more resistant to wear, but the process is costly compared to hot-forging. For certain applications, such as rear driveshaft u-joints on diesel trucks, the increased wear resistance of a cold-forged cross is very important. These Joints also have very effective o-ring type seals protected by a plastic deflector. The real determining factor is if the Ball Stud Tube Yoke has a steel or rubber splash shield\/seal.
