Some of the more popular PTO capable transmissions using this cover include Borg Warner T18, T19\/T98, Muncie SM465, New Process NP435, and New Venture NV4500\/NV5600. The same cover size is also found on imported Getrag G360 and ZF 5 or 6 speed transmissions. For Transfer Cases both the NP205 and NP241DHD along with some of the heavier Borg Warner units have identical 6 Bolt SAE PTO covers.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003ca name=\"note3\"\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: #ff0000\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTech Note 3:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e \u003cstrong\u003eLubricants, Sealants, Threadlockers\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003eEarly production NV4500 Transmissions used an anaerobic sealant (\u003ca href=\"\/products\/90003-qu90003-permatex-anaerobic-gasket-maker-1-69-fl-oz-tube\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eQU90003\u003c\/a\u003e) to seal between the main case and input bearing retainer, top cover, and rear housing. Mid-production units used anaerobic sealant just on the input retainer and RTV for everything else. Later production transmissions used black RTV Sealant (\u003ca href=\"\/products\/90006-qu90006-large-3-35-ounce-tube-ultra-black-rtv-sealant\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eQU90006\u003c\/a\u003e or \u003ca href=\"\/products\/90005-qu90005-small-0-5-ounce-tube-ultra-black-rtv-sealant\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eQU90005\u003c\/a\u003e) for everything. Either type of sealant works fine (except the PTO covers ALWAYS should be sealed with RTV), but I prefer RTV for all components. Regardless of which sealant you use, make sure excess sealant does not block the lube access hole at the top of input retainer pilot that fits into the transmission case! Also, the threaded holes in the main case for the four retainer bolts and 12 PTO bolts are open ended, so you must use new bolts with factory applied threadlocker or apply Threadlocker (\u003ca href=\"\/products\/24200-s24200-medium-strength-blue-242-threadlocker-6ml\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eS24200\u003c\/a\u003e) to your existing bolts to prevent oil seepage past the bolt threads.
